Friday, 1st December Targa Florio Apollo Bay ….IMG_6149

A Tucker ’48 – a very rare vehicle taking the trip down the Great Ocean Road. Only 51 made, this one being number 45. It had a Bell helicopter flat six rear engine. Quite rare. No. 45 was sold in 2010 for $1,127,500 US according to Wikipedia.

HO HO HO !

Let’s “Celebrate Christmas” function this year at the Colac RSL. Murray Street Colac. Lunch cost is $10 per member and $5 children. The remainder of the meal cost will be subsidised by the Club. Everyone is asked to bring along a gift up to the value of $10 for Santa to distribute – remember to bring male or female themed gifts and a gift for your child if attending. The lunch will commence at 12 noon. RSVP by 24th November. All bookings, numbers and payments to be finalised by Friday 24th November. Payment by cheque to PO Box 346, Colac 3250.

Sunday, 10th December A longer run for motorcyclists and car drivers who like a few bends in the road. Please note no bike trailer will be provided for breakdowns on this run. We travel to the Beechy Hotel, at Beech Forest for lunch. After lunch, we will go via Lavers Hill and around the Great Ocean Road to Princetown for a coffee stop. We will then return to Colac via Simpson. A total distance of 175 Km. Leave Colac Visitor Information Centre at 11.00am. Sunday, 31st December Happy New Year.  See the year out with a BBQ at the home of Malcolm and Chris Wilson, 71 Armstrong Street, Colac. BYO meat and drinks, plus nibbles and a salad or sweets to share. Arrive from 6.00pm onwards. Contact Malcolm on 0458653054 for further details.
Monday, 1st January New Year’s Day run to Warrnambool for a picnic lunch in the Warrnambool Botanic Gardens. We will meet up with Cobden area members at the Cobden Lake for a BYO morning coffee at 10.30am. Leave Colac Visitor Information Centre at 9.45am.
Friday, 5th January W.I.T.H. run to Beeac BBQ area, Main St Beeac. BYO picnic or BBQ. Leave Colac Visitor Information Centre at 6.00pm. Contact Malcolm on 0458653054 for further details.
Saturday, 13th January The 2018 Camperdown Custom Car & Bike Show will be held in Manifold Street on the weekend 12th – 14th January. Friday night will be movie night at the Theatre Royal; Saturday a show and shine with live music in the main street (presentations taking place from 2.30pm); Saturday night will feature a street cruise from 7pm with live music and a Sunday cruise to Port Fairy to the Port Fairy Hot Rod Show. Friday, 26th January Enjoy a hearty breakfast with friends at the Warrion Public Hall. Celebrate Australia Day and come along in your classic car to support this charity event.
