Once your application has been received and considered by our Committee, a letter of acceptance and invoice will be issued to you. After your membership initial fee ($50) has been paid, you will become a member of the Colac Collectable Car Club Inc. If you wish to place your vehicle or motorcycle on the Club Permit Scheme,visit your nearest Vic Roads Office to receive the necessary paperwork to complete the process.
Additional information on becoming a Member:-
The Colac Collectable Car Club Inc was formed over 20 years ago and has members with vintage, veteran and classic cars as well as motor cycles and commercial vehicles. The club is a family orientated club with a full social calendar. A Newsletter is distributed regularly with information on events and runs held by the club. Meetings are held regularly and are listed in the Newsletter as well as here on the website.
MEMBERSHIP
To become a member of the Colac Collectable Car Club Inc please complete a Membership Application Form. To apply for membership you will need to have a current Club Member nominate you and another member second your application. Please note there is currently a waiting list for membership. Once your application has been received and considered by our Committee, a letter of acceptance and invoice will be sent to you. After your membership fee ($50) has been paid, you will become a member of the Colac Collectable Car Club Inc. The annual fees are payable annually before 30th June.
PUTTING YOUR VEHICLE – MOTORCYCLE ON RED PLATES
If you wish to place your vehicle or motorcycle on the Vic Roads Club Permit Scheme, please obtain a roadworthy certificate for your car/motorcycle. Visit a Vic Roads office to collect two forms titled ‘CLUB PERMIT APPLICATION” and ‘VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY AND STANDARDS DECLARATION FOR CLUB PERMIT VEHICLES”. Contact one of our Registration Officers to completed the necessary paperwork. Details of our Registration Officers will be on your acceptance letter. After completing all paperwork, please visit a Vic Roads office. Once registered onto the Club Permit Scheme you are allowed to drive your vehicle/motorcycle for either 45 days or 90 days, depending on which permit you choose. Vic Roads will issue you with a log book and your log book must be completed and carried with you detailing the days you drive your vehicle/motorcycle. Please note also that after you have registered your vehicle/motorcycle on to the Club Permit Scheme, you must supply seven photographs to the club for safe-keeping, together with details of registration number etc. Simply return this information to the Club Registration Officer who signed your paperwork before your visit to Vic Roads. Details of photographs required as specified by Vic Roads are:-
Dated photographs must include images of the front, drivers side, rear, driving position, (side on with the driver’s door open) and, where possible, any identifiers such as chassis number and engine number. Clubs are required to provide photographs to Vic Roads within seven days of receipt of a written request from Vic Roads.
Photographs of ‘under the bonnet” and any identification labels are also required.
Once registration by Vic Roads has been completed, please supply the registration number of your vehicle or motorcycle to the Colac Collectable Car Club for their records. This is a requirement by Vic Roads.
For all information regarding the Vic Roads Club Permit Scheme requirements, please refer to the Vic Roads website. As a requirement by Vic Roads, all members must be active members. To be an active member of Colac Collectable Car Club, you must attend 5 club activities in the first 12 months before you can place a vehicle on Vic Roads Club Permit Scheme.
